ABOUT ME

Design informed

by deep research

I'm a product designer based in Lagos with a focus on onboarding, activation, and retention for fintech and SaaS products. My work lives at the intersection of user psychology, business strategy, and interaction design.

My background is unconventional — I studied History, which gave me something most designers don't have: the ability to ask rigorous questions, sit with complexity, and build a coherent narrative from fragmented evidence. I carry that into every user interview, journey map, and design decision I make.

I believe the most important metric in product design is whether a user gets to their first moment of value — and everything I design is oriented around making that happen faster, with less friction, and with more trust.

Beyond digital products, I have a foundation in visual design from freelance graphic work — which means I think holistically about brand, tone, and aesthetics, not just interaction flows.

"In fintech, trust is the product. You can have the fastest flow in the world — but if a user doesn't feel safe, they won't convert."

01

🔍

Discover & Define

User interviews, session analysis, funnel audits. I build a picture of what's actually happening, not what the team assumes is happening.

02

Frame the Problem

Jobs-to-be-Done framing, journey mapping, north star metric definition. I turn messy research into a single, actionable design challenge.

03

Design & Iterate

Wireframes, prototypes, microcopy. I move fast and test early, always designing with the activation metric in view, not just the aesthetic.

04

Measure & Refine

Post-launch analysis, usability follow-ups, metric tracking. Good design doesn't end at handoff, it ends when the numbers move.

HOW I WORK

A process built

for results

I don't design screens, I design journeys. Every engagement starts with understanding the human context and the business constraint, then working backwards to the right solution.

DESIGN BELIEFS

What I believe

about good product design

Trust before conversion

Especially in fintech, users make a trust decision before they make a product decision. Every screen is either building or eroding that trust, there's no neutral ground.

One metric, ruthlessly pursued

The best onboarding work I've done started with identifying a single north star behaviour, and designing everything to drive users toward it as fast as possible.

👁

Design for the context, not the persona

Personas lie. Real users have slow connections, anxious minds, and competing demands. Designing for the real context, and not the ideal one is what separates good UX from great UX.

Let’s build something

people actually use

I'm currently open to full-time roles and select freelance engagements in product design. Particularly in Fintech, Neobanking, and B2B SaaS. If you're working on a product where onboarding, activation, or retention is a growth lever, I'd love to talk.
